Description:
Matches are held on the Pistol Range (Rifle Range is open for practice) 2nd Sunday of each month starting promptly at 2 PM & ending about 5 PM. All ages are welcome & all shooters are encouraged to bring a guest (within Clubs guest rule). Both events are shot with center fire or rim fire pistols and revolvers. Rim fire offers three classes: Unlimited automatic, Stock automatic and Revolver. Center fire can have five classes: Unlimited automatic, Stock automatic, Unlimited revolver, Stock revolver and Concealed carry (e.g. 4 inch barrel or less revolver or automatic).
Plate Shoot
The plates are set at 15 and 25 yards with 8 to 10 targets at 3 stations. They range in size and shape from a small diamond or mini bowling pin to a 10 inch circle. Each participant is timed and number of shots fired per station are counted. Any plates left standing are counted as a penalty. The center fire is revolver friendly, allowing three cylinders (or speed loaders) with 6 rounds, for a total of 18 shots per station. Any center fire pistol or revolver is allowed with the exception of magnum loads. With rim fire you are allowed 3 magazines fully loaded with 10 rounds each.
Pistol load requirements
1. Velocity 1000 fps max
2. Lead or copper electric plated bullets (e.g. West Coast or Berry's Bullets only) No jacketed ammo.
Bowling Pin Shoot
The Bowling pins are set on tables at 15 and 25 yards. There are 7 to 8 pins on each table. Each participant is required to knock each pin off the table. Any pins left on the table are counted as a penalty. This event is also timed and number of shots counted. There are also 5 classes offered as well with the only difference being that shooters are allowed to use light magnum loads.
In September a new fall league will start for 3 months of competition with prizes awarded monthly and Trophies awarded the 2nd Sunday of December. Each shooting class will cost $2 per shooter.
