Description:
Matches are held on the Pistol Range (Rifle Range is open for practice) 2nd Sunday of each month starting promptly at 1PM & ending about 4PM. All ages are welcome & all shooters are encouraged to bring a guest (within Clubs guest rule). Events are shot with rimfire semi automatic pistols.
Plate Shoot:
There will be a total of eleven plates to shoot. These will consist of ten target plates and one stop plate. There will be two plate racks with five steel plates on each rack set either at the same distance or at different distances and one stop plate on a separate stand. This will be at the discretion of the Match Director, as will the sizes of the plates to be used at that particular match. Two shooters will be called to the firing line with an unloaded pistol and two magazines loaded with ten rounds each. The shooters will be instructed to load and make ready. They will then load and stand at the low ready position. At the sound of the whistle they will begin firing, knocking off ten steel plates first and then the stop plate. The first shooter to knock off the steel plates and then the stop plate will be the winner. If a shooter knocks off the stop plate before clearing the other plates they will loose that set. A shooter will continue to shoot sets until that shooter has lost three sets. The winner of the match will be the shooter who does not have three losses.
Pistol load requirements:
1. Velocity 1000 fps max
2. Lead or copper electric plated bullets (e.g. West Coast or Berry's Bullets only) No jacketed ammo.
